The British Labradors we breed at Tallgrass Kennels are out of previously proven lines of Labrador Retrievers out of the United Kingdom. We feel these very selectively, linebred British Labs epitomize the consummate shooting dog for the serious waterfowl or upland game bird hunter. Their biddable nature and very desirable psychological traits also make them some of the very best family pets to be found.

We believe the Labrador Retriever gene pool found in United Kingdom tends to produce a more biddable, soft-natured dog that is generally easier to train and handle. We have found this to be the case at our kennel.

Currently, we keep and train females at our facility and select stud dogs (either linebreedings or desirable outcrosses) from the top performing studs in the UK and the U.S. We feel this scenario enables us to continue improving upon these outstanding lines of Labrador Retrievers in the most effective manner.
