We believe that properly training a dog simply consists of building a
relationship with a dog while molding and modifying its behavior into
something that pleases you. This does not involve the use of force.
We believe that reading the dog, accurately interpreting
what the dog is showing you, and communicating to the dog what
is expected is the fundamental basis for being able to effectively teach the
dog.

Consequently, our training program is
not centered around a device (electronic collar); it is focused on
constructing the relationship from an awareness of the canine psychological
perspective.
We utilize a slip-lead to do most of our obedience development. This
process involves teaching your dog
sit, here and heel while working to eliminate the
escape responses which are genetically programmed into the dog and
will invariably show up.
An escape response
could be described as the physical manifestation of your dog's attitude about
what is going on. We believe these escapes are "psychological
outlets" for the dog that are expressed during many interactions with
dogs or humans. These escapes can result from anxiousness or various
other conditions the dog feels while being "trained". As you move
through the training process, you work to successfully remove the escapes,
while simultaneously building the dog's trust in you. As the
relationship progresses, you will see your dog's confidence and trust in you
escalate. Concurrently, there is an elevated level of responsiveness
from the dog that is almost otherwise unachievable.

We believe this is a true partnership,
where the dog is not intimidated into performance, but rather freely responds
consistently and desirably. The results are a "naturally" performing dog
that is happy and satisfied with his or her role in the relationship.
As this
partnership is developed, there are also yard and field drills
utilized to help your dog develop the specific skills needed to become a good
hunting dog.
We feel this program is the most effective and fair way to develop a
relationship with any breed of dog. If you are interested
in a more thorough explanation of the entire training process, please get in
touch with us.
To conclude, we will work to provide your dog with the following:
a
solid obedience foundation
a responsive attitude
functional gun dog skills
abundant field and bird experiences
a partnership mindset.

We feel the combination of all of the above
accomplishments results in a hunting dog partner that most everyone desires.

but the property of unknown generations
